February 2026 brought a wave of new business activity across the Highland Lakes region, with ribbon cuttings in Burnet and Kingsland, new shops and eateries opening in Liberty Hill, and several exciting openings on the horizon for March. Here's your monthly roundup of what's new, what's next, and what's changing in our communities.
New Openings
Liberty Hill
Sherwin-Williams | 12360 W State Hwy 29., Liberty Hill. Paints and Accessories.

Marble Falls
Beloved Cafe | 206 Avenue H, Suite 101, Marble Falls, inside the Beloved Gallery. Serving a full coffee menu as well as salads and sandwiches.

Fifth and June | 414 Main St., Marble Falls. Children’s and women’s boutique. Officially opening on March 1st.
Forma Doors and Company | 397 North Ridge Rd. Bldg. 6, STE 601, Marble Falls. Offers premium doors for every space.

Hill Country Bakehouse | 200 Main St., Marble Falls . New location for the bakery specializing in custom baked goods, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and wedding desserts.

Rock Hounding Swap and Shop | 208 Main St., Marble Falls—inside Ms. Lollipops Parties Fun & Gifts Features gems, jewels, crystals, fossils, tools, books and other cool finds.

Liberty Hill
Costco | 595 US-183, Liberty Hill. Grand opening is March 11th.

La Tequila Jalisco | 13850 State Hwy. 29, Liberty Hill: Final inspections are underway for a targeted mid-March opening at 13850 Hwy 29.
Master Yang's World Class Tae Kwon Do is opening a third location at 2021 Kauffman Loop (HEB area) in Liberty Hill in 2026. The first two locations, in Round Rock and Cedar Park, provide martial arts training for both children and adults.[16]
Several other Liberty Hill businesses were flagged as notable upcoming projects, including Popeyes (13101 Hwy. 29) Bojangles (13003 W SH 29) Sai House of Desi (75 Seward Junction Loop), and T Liquor (2021 Kauffman Loop).[16]
Marble Falls
Fresh Fuel Nutrition | 908 3rd St. Unit A, Marble Falls, is opening its second location in downtown Marble Falls with a grand opening on Saturday, March 7. The menu will include smoothies, smoothie bowls, protein shakes, coffee, and snacks. The grand opening coincides with Market Day on Main in downtown Marble Falls.[13]

Lampasas
The Retreat on the Creek | Pecan St., Lampasas. A fitness studio opening summer 2026. By winter 2026, it will have added an event venue and Clean Eats.

Ribbon Cuttings
Burnet
Burnet Station | 4319 N. US Hwy 281, Burnet. The Marble Falls/Lake LBJ Chamber of Commerce has a ribbon cutting scheduled for Burnet Station on March 12.[10] The facility offers luxury RV storage.
Tan Lines | 120 S. Main St. Burnet. Tanning salon that also offers trendy clothing, and accessories.

Kingsland
Homesmart Experts | 2634 W RR 1431, Kingsland, TX. Offers Smart Home technology services.
Llano
Hummingbird Pediatrics | 102 W. Dallas St. Ste A, Llano The Llano Chamber of Commerce will host a Business After Hours and ribbon cutting ceremony for Hummingbird Pediatrics on March 24. The community is warmly invited to attend.[2]
New Locations
El Jimador on Hwy 281 in Marble Falls is moving into the old Margaritas’ Bar & Grill building at 1205 RR 1431 Marble Falls. This will allow the The Athletic Club to expand into the former El Jimador space.
Development News
The Manzano Mile | Marble Falls, a development known as "The Highlands" took another step forward in February, according to the DailyTrib. While specific details weren't available in the headline coverage, the project continues to advance through the approval process.[6]
The Shops at Flatrock Crossing | Marble Falls, a major retail center under development south of U.S. 281, is significantly delayed. Completion date is now expected to be late 2027 or early 2028, depending on how quickly approvals and financing are finalized.

Business Closings & Relocations
Kuntry Crafts Kraze plus resale (Granite Shoals)
The Hickory House (Llano): Yhey have recently transitioned operations or ownership (re-organized as a bed and breakfast rather than a daily restaurant).
Downtown Liberty Hill (Infrastructure Impact): While not a "closing," businesses on Main Street and Myrtle Lane are navigating the start of the Downtown Master Plan construction, which will eventually turn portions of the area into a pedestrian corridor.
Texas Elite Meat (Marble Falls)They have closed their brick and mortar location and will reopen the business with a focus on catering and pop up events.
