This Week's Events in the Highland Lakes (April 10 – April 18, 2026)

Spring is exploding across the Highland Lakes with a packed calendar of massive local celebrations! Kick things off at the 43rd Annual Burnet Bluebonnet Festival from April 10–13. The following weekend, devour over 22,500 pounds of mudbugs and enjoy live music at the Llano Crawfish Open on April 17–18, or hit Kingsland's Wakepoint Marina on the 18th for Wakefest, featuring headliner Kevin Fowler and fireworks over Lake LBJ. Whether you're craving ranger-led hikes and wildflower painting or jazz nights and classic films, there’s endless fun on tap from Burnet to Spicewood.

The biggest events of the week are anchored in Burnet and Llano, with a spectacular lake party rounding out the weekend in Kingsland — making for one of the most geographically diverse and festive weeks of the spring season.

The 43rd Annual Bluebonnet Fest| Burnet: Downtown Burnet | Starts Friday at 3 p.m. Three-day celebration featuring live music, a carnival, classic cars, fun runs, great food, and shopping across the second weekend in April. The festival continues through Sunday.
