🎨 Llano Earth Art Fest (LEAF) @ Grenwelge Park

  • Dates: March 27–29
  • The Vibe: World Rock Stacking Championship & nature art.
  • Cost: ~$15 Day / ~$30 Weekend.
  • πŸ• Pet Status: STRICTLY PROHIBITED. No pets allowed in the park or camping areas to protect the balanced rock art.
  • πŸ§’ Kid Zone: Climbing wall, face painting, and rock-stacking workshops. Ages 17 & under are FREE!

🀠 River Chuck Wagon Cook-Off @ Badu Park

  • Dates: April 2–4 (Public meal Saturday, April 4)
  • The Vibe: Authentic 1850s camp cooking and cowboy history.
  • Cost: $30 for the Saturday "High Noon" meal.
  • πŸ• Pet Status: RESTRICTED. Pets are not allowed in the cooking/campsite areas. They may be on leashes in the outer grassy areas of the park.
  • πŸ§’ Kid Zone: Saturday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. Tour authentic wagons and watch open-fire cooking for free.
  • Local Tip: Meal tickets go on sale February 2 at the Visitor Center. They will sell out!

🎻 Llano Fiddle Fest @ JLK Events Center

  • Dates: April 3–5
  • The Vibe: Top-tier Texas fiddling and a Saturday night dance.
  • Cost: Day Contest is FREE; Night Concert is $20–$30.
  • πŸ• Pet Status: NOT ALLOWED. This is an indoor venue; only ADA-certified service animals permitted.
  • πŸ§’ Kid Zone: Beginners' Showcase (Sat 9:00 AM) features young local performers on the big stage.

🦞 Llano Crawfish Open @ Robinson City Park

  • Dates: April 17–18
  • The Vibe: 28,000 lbs of crawfish, fun run, cornhole tournament, live music, and charity auctions.
  • Cost: ~$10–$20 entry before 5:00 PM, $30–$35 after. Food sold separately.
  • πŸ• Pet Status: NOT ALLOWED. Due to massive crowds and food safety, pets are prohibited on the grounds.
  • πŸ§’ Kid Zone: Dedicated "Fun for Children" area with games, Zydeco music, and goat roping.

  • Date: April 25
  • The Vibe: Creative community day and a blast of color.
  • Cost: FREE to attend. $10-$40 to compete in run or chalk art competition.
  • πŸ• Pet Status: ALLOWED. Well-behaved pets are welcome to join the fun! Per city park rules, all dogs must remain on a leash no longer than 6 feet. (Note: You may want to keep pets clear of the actual 5K Color Run path to avoid them getting covered in powder!)
  • πŸ§’ Kid Zone: 8:00 AM 1-Mile Kids' Fun Run; 9:15 AM 5K Color Run; 7:30 AM–2:00 PM. For $10, kids (ages 6–17) get a dedicated space and chalk to create their own masterpiece.
  • Volunteer Deadline: April 15.
  • Tickets: No tickets needed for general attendance; register for the run and chalk competition via the Llano Parks Project

  • Ticket Pickup: Avoid online fees by visiting the Llano Visitor Center (100 Train Station Dr).
  • Rain Plan: Most events are Rain or Shine. Fiddle Fest is indoors; for others, pack your "river boots!"
  • Traffic: Hwy 152 gets backed up during Crawfishβ€”use CR 103 as a shortcut to skip the main highway line.
