This Week's Events in the Highland Lakes (April 3 – 11, 2026)

Easter weekend kicks off a jam-packed stretch across the Highland Lakes. From hot-air balloons rising over Horseshoe Bay to the 48th Annual Llano Fiddle Fest and chuck wagon cooking along the Llano River, there's no shortage of signature events. Families can choose from a half dozen egg hunts spanning Marble Falls, Burnet, Granite Shoals, and even Longhorn Cavern, while live music fills stages from Brass Hall to Pardners Nightclub all week long.

This is a week of marquee happenings — Easter celebrations for every age, a beloved fiddle contest in Llano, chuck wagon cooking on the Llano river, and balloons lighting up the sky over Horseshoe Bay.

12th Annual Balloons Over Horseshoe Bay Resort | Horseshoe Bay: Horseshoe Bay Resort | 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Witness the sky come alive as colorful hot-air balloons take flight over the resort during this beloved Easter weekend tradition.
